Michael Bay's got space dementia. Lost in Criterion watches Armageddon.

In the words of Dr. Sam Becket: Oh boy.

This week's episode finds us discussing many of the problems of Micheal Bay's 1998 sophomore work and questioning what it means to be part of the Criterion Collection. Stephen Goldmeier (formerly of io9, currently of EUTS, and also a part of that conversation with Dan Harmon I talked about a few weeks ago) helps us reach some interesting conclusions and generally just try to make sense of it all.

And there is so very much to sort through. As Roger Ebert famously said in his review any thirty seconds of this film could be the trailer. There's barely a cut in it longer than ten seconds. But that's just the surface pulsating around its bad science and illogical plot core.
