Bob Hoskins and a (half) milestone on Lost in Criterion this week!

Episode 26 means we've been at this for six whole months! So many movies watched. So many more to watch. This week's is a pretty fun one.

John Mackenzie's The Long Good Friday is ranked as one of Britain's best films, and was the breakout role for the great character actor (who will take nearly any job) Bob Hoskins, who starred as a London gangster sitting on top of a world about to fall apart in the turmoil and excesses as the 70's changed over into the 80's. Think Boogie Nights but the most erotic scene is Hoskins taking a shower to clean himself of his best friend's blood? And maybe the torture? There's plenty of torture and hairy Bob Hoskins if you're into that.

Anyway, give it a listen
