Whenever I see a movie about people becoming drifters I want to do it.

Even when it ends poorly. So predictably poorly.

Following up our toe-dip into the work of Agnes Varda last week, Pat and I dive in and I think we do a better job talking about the woman and her work this week with her 1985 film Vagabond or, in the original French, Sans Toit ni Loi ("Without Roof or Rule", well it's literally "Law", but my way has alliteration which is always better). The film follows Mona, a young woman who's hit the road to be on her own, freedom some would call it. The plot speaks to my own sense of ennui, and Pat spends some amount of time this week explaining to me why it would be a terrible idea. Give us a listen?
