There's only one good scene in The Bank Dick, but fortunately it last most of the last act.

According to it's Rotten Tomatoes' rating, people sure do love The Bank Dick, the 1940 comedy written by and starring W.C.Fields and directed by Eddie Cline. This is not the worst mistake people can make, but it's still one I struggle to understand. Anyway, it won't be the first time (or last) that my opinions in Lost in Criterion go against popular opinion. I promise we like Fields' work, just wait til next week for evidence of that. In the meantime, we complain: Lost in Criterion talks The Bank Dick.
