I have never in my life wanted a thing more than these kids want a television.

I can't say I ever really thought about post-war suburban Japanese life, but if it was anything like Yasujirō Ozu's 1959 comedy Good Morning, I can definitely relate. This week's Lost in Criterion dives into the fart jokes and funny drunks of the first Japanese comedy we've encountered for the Criterion Collection. It's a fun little movie that reminds me a lot of American sitcoms of the time and reminds Pat a lot of his one unfulfilled dream: a Bathroom Television. Give us a listen?
