That title is supposedly what Ingmar Bergman's then wife Kabi Laretei said upon seeing the completed Winter Light (1962). She's not at all wrong. The direct translation of the Swedish title is The Communicants, and Communion services bookend the film, which of course leaves us talking about how different Christian sects practice Communion for the first ten minutes of the episode. So there's that.
