In Love on the Run (1979), the final film of The Adventures of Antoine Doinel, Francois Truffaut's star character finds himself divorced and looking back on his life. Also, he's dating a much younger woman who sleeps in an angle-length Snoopy nightgown. So there's that.
It's a clip show! In case you haven't watched the entire series in the last few weeks like a couple of guys I know. Unfortunately, like any clip show it's a bit uneven. Truffaut makes interesting use of the previous films and other films he's directed, the latter of which obviously -- and the former, unfortunately -- get recontextualized to fit in here.
It's uneven at best, but as the worst film in a great series I can forgive it.
