"The best Hitchcock movie Hitchcock never made."

In 1967 Stanley Donen directed one of my favorite movies of all time, Bedazzled featuring Peter Cook, Dudley Moore, and some surprisingly interesting theology. We aren't talking about that this week, but you should watch it.

Instead Lost in Criterion is taking on another great Donen picture, his 1963 romantic comedy mystery thriller Charade. While Hitchcock is uninvolved, it's a plot worthy of his best work, hense the quote above, which I can't seem to find a source for but shows up in quotation marks whenever anyone talks about this film. Hitchcock favorite Cary Grant stars with Audrey Hepburn, supported by the likes of James Coburn and Walter Matthau looking about as young as I've ever seen him. It's a great cast and a superb film. Check it out.
