Mon Oncle

Our second M. Hulot film comes out swinging in the social satire department. Mon Oncle (1958) finds Jacques Tati's Hulot visiting his sister's ultramodern house and being forced into a job at his brother-in-laws plastics factory. The episodic nature of M. Hulot's Holiday is maintained, but the episodes are a bit longer. Not that that scales back the comedy at all, still a hilarious film.
